It's Doreen's birthday...almost!

The one with the battle for the stick!

The evening started off very calmly...

...but it wasn't long before Jess found some water...and some mud!

And of course, there were sticks.

Jess pulled a nifty move on Bess and nicked her stick!

Bess was a bit nifty herself and patiently waited for the right moment!

Every dog surely has her day!

What a champ!

All this excitement was too much for Bess - it was time for a cool down!

Fortunately Fiona took it all in her stride.

But as the sun began to run for cover, there was one more dip to come!

Sheila was determined to get Jess back into the mud!

And of course, Bess had to join in too!

Fortunately everyone made it back to the bank...just!

It was a lovely evening, high up on Okeford Hill...

The skies were clear...

And all enjoyed the view.
