The Dorset Diddlers!

27th December - the day we walked...The Stickler!

What could be better than meeting at Shillingstone and doing a steady 10 mile walk...?

Three dogs, four walkers. All were raring to go!

Fiona meant business. This wasn't going to be a stroll in the park!

Karine, Tara and Cocoa knew this was going to be a toughie too.

The steep path up to Okeford Hill wasn't for wimps, or us.

But the climb was worth it and the gang were soon in their stride.

After Okeford Hill, we dropped down to Durweston and then headed through Stoupaine and upwards once more!

Camilla's sister was out - luckily for her!

Water for the dogs, not the walkers!

Poor Bess nearly needed a new set of teeth after finding out the hard way how long her stick was.

But it wasn't long before we headed for Hod Hill.

Some were more confident than others!

Beautiful views were almost the only reward we needed...

Karine certainly felt on top of the world as we set up camp for coffee and...

...chocolate!
Then it was up on to the final hill - Hambledon.

More fine views...

...and more climbing!

A bit of local wildlife didn't slow us down.

It was along the top, before dropping back down to Shillingstone. Apart from a short shower, the weather stayed fine - and all had a good time!
